Frequently Asked

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Conventional therapy is often thought of as treatment for trauma or for finding closure. Coaching is often thought of as a way to find acceptance and a path forward. The overlap between coaching and therapy is in the internal system work. A Coach is not a therapist or a mentor. A Coach is someone who can give you a “playbook” for how to improve critical life skills and motivates you to make the changes necessary to become a “pro” at life.  I am a certified coach, not a certified or licensed clinical therapist (Psychologist or Psychiatrist). If you feel like you are needing clinical therapy or psychiatric care, there are other resources available to you.

What can I expect to get for my investment of time and money?

Coaching requires both the Client and the Coach to be fully invested in each other. The Client invests time and money, and needs to see a return for that investment. The Coach invests time, knowledge, and resources that otherwise wouldn’t exist. The relationship should be mutually beneficial and symbiotic in order to achieve the greatest impact and leave everyone walking away feeling good.

What happens if I don't feel satisfied at the end of the program?

Because of the amount of time and energy I invest in the creation and management of my program, and in you as my client, I do not offer refunds. However, at the end of our first module we are going to have an “impact session” at which time we will discuss continuing our work together.
